Tinos I – Karybu

September 12, 2011

Wedged in a narrow street in the town of Tinos is a lovely shop full of treasures from all corners of the world.

A Swiss lady, extensive traveler and citizen of the world, has opened Karybu to give shelter to the lovely fabrics she discovers in India and Indonesia, amazing jewelry from Africa, fine tableware, selected clothing items, bags and all kinds of dainty pieces.

Shelves full of colorful plates, bowls, vases, glasses… we wanted to buy everything! Too bad there was no FedEx!

The shop also features the fantastic Etro perfumes (Etra, an absolute favorite!) beautifully displayed in the alcove.

Look at those lovely bead necklaces…

…and this fancy Mai Ami laptop case!

Now, enough of shopping, time for coffee! No need to look any further! Just two strides away, right across the shop, you’ve got Karybu’s sibling, Karybu Coffee and Wine.

Beautiful (and practical) decoration…

…still more enticing colors and designs (that you can buy, of course!)

…local honey, wine, papier-mâché bowls and other gift ideas…

AND delicious yogurt with fresh fruit, nuts and local honey for us, wicked tummy-yummy foodies!
